Hide your CSS from Netscape 4. September 14, 2007Posted by fofo in CSS.
Some facts follow:
- There is no point trying to change your complex CSS code so that it works in Netscape
- Many institutions like schools and libaries use Netscape 4.
thus the solution is to hide the code from those browsers.
Netscape 4 does recognise linked external files that contain CSS.
but it does not recognise imported. so instead of linking
e.g <link rel=”stylesheet” href=”mystyle.css” mce_href=”mystyle.css” type=”text/css”/>
to import it and hiding it in practice you can do
<style type=”text/css” media=”all”>
