Many people that attend our seminars on CSS ask us if there is a way to have multiple versions of IE installed in one machine.

it is well known that there are major differences between IE6 and IE5 in terms of CSS rendering. unlike Netscape, users can have one version of Internet Explorer installed. Having said that if you visit the http://www.skyzyx.com/downloads/ and download the files .unzip them, then run them by double clicking on the iexplore.exe. so for example one can have IE5, IE5,5 and IE6 installed in their machines.

As a web developer, i always had the problem to make the site functional in as many browsers as possible.

a great site that provides a great service for a very reasonable fee is Browser Cam.

in this site one can check the site’s display and functionality in multible browsers on multiple operating systems.

In case you need to view the site in Safari you can do so in iCapture.

Try it!!!! it is free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best books i have read on CSS are all from the sitepoint website.

Rachel Andrews , head of the edgeofmyseat.com, is an excellent author on CSS.

Her last book is titled The CSS Anthology: 101 Essential Tips, Tricks & Hacks, 2nd Edition

and can be found at http://www.sitepoint.com/books/cssant2/.

you can visit and download free chapters.

Other books include

  1. HTML Utopia: Designing Without Tables Using CSS, 2nd Edition
  2. Build Your Own Web Site The Right Way Using HTML & CSS
